On the Way or In the Way?
Which is correct:  ‘On the way’ or ‘in the way’?

Well, both are correct. Yet, they are used in a different way. Take a look at the following sentences:
•    We are having dinner in a restaurant on the way to Jakarta.
•    There has been a car accident on my way to Bandung.
•    All of us are excited. Spring is on the way!

•    Excuse me, madam. Could you move a bit? You are in my way.
•    The girl couldn’t get the bike out because the chairs were in the way.

So, do you see the differences? Right! ‘On my way’ means during the journey or movement’. It can also mean ‘coming’.
What about ‘in my way’? Right again!! ‘In the way’ is used for obstacles.
